Info for New Users

If this is your first time using Angelfish, welcome!  This article explains some key concepts.

PROFILES

When you want to view reports in Angelfish, you need to open a Profile.

A Profile consists a set of reports, and the config settings for the reports.  

You typically use one Profile for each website or application you want to track.  It's also common to use multiple Profiles for the same website, with each Profile using different config settings.

Any User can view a Profile's reports, but only Angelfish admins can edit a Profile's config settings.

The "Demo Profile" contains sample data - we recommend using it to learn how the reports work.



TOOLTIPS


A Tooltip is a small gray circle around a question mark.  Click any Tooltip to open it.

Tooltips contain feature summaries, syntax examples, links to help articles, and other helpful information.

If you don't understand how something works, click the Tooltip for a quick explanation!



EXPORTING DATA


You can export data from most reports via the Export button on the right side of the screen.

Angelfish also has a fully-featured API which is used to populate third party dashboards & databases.

HOW TO GET HELP

Angelfish is self-hosted software.  A team of Angelfish Admins at your organization is responsible for managing your Angelfish instance.

If you need help, use the Ask Your Admins (AYA) feature to send your question to your Angelfish Admin team.  

Once you're logged into Angelfish, AYA can be accessed in:
  • User Home: Ask Your Admins button
  • Reports: Left Nav Help icon
