Status Codes show the web server's response to HTTP requests. A valid request for an existing file has a different Status Code than a request for a file that doesn't exist or requires authentication.
For Profiles that use a log-based Tracking Method, the Status Code is one of the three variables used to evaluate Pages:
- Page File Type
- Page Status Code
- Page Method
The Status Code & Method is configured on the Advanced tab in each Profile's config settings. The default values are typically adequate, however.
