Installation Instructions: Windows

To install Angelfish on Windows, you need:

1) Local Administrator Account

Angelfish installs as a service, so we recommend installing Angelfish while logged in as a local administrator.

2) Choose a TCP port

By default, Angelfish uses port 9000 for the web UI.  You can change the port in the agf.conf file after installation.

Side note: you can create a HTTP Redirect in IIS to send users to the correct port.

3) Identify the Installation Directory

The Angelfish directory will be created by the installer if it doesn't exist.

The default path in the installer is C:\Angelfish - you can change this as needed.

We don't recommend installing Angelfish on network storage, as it negatively affects performance.

4) Download the Installer File

For Trial installations, please fill out the Trial Request form and download the installer.

For new installations, please open a support ticket and we'll send you the link.

1) Unzip the Installer File

The filename ends in .zip

2) Run the Installer executable

The filename ends in .exe

agfs-win-x86_64.22.0531.27954.exe

3) Follow the Prompts

Once installation is complete, click Finish.

4) Open the Angelfish UI

Open a browser and type the hostname / IP address and TCP port of the Angelfish instance.

Example: http://192.168.75.10:9000

If you can't access the login screen from a network client, make sure the Angelfish TCP port is open for inbound traffic on the Angelfish server.

5) Enter Server ID

Paste your Server ID into the Server ID field and click the Activate button.

If your Angelfish instance is on a secure network (i.e. not able to reach our licensing server), you'll be prompted to open a support ticket to request a Manual License.

Once the Server ID and license is applied, you can login to Angelfish.

The default username / password is: 

admin / Angelfish123

Congratulations! Angelfish is now successfully installed.
